Dominic List - CEO & Founder

Dominic List graduated from University in 1997 with a BSc in Design Technology and Business, which combines his love for business and technology.  His first job at Caudwell Communications saw his career take the first steps into the Telecoms industry, working in technical and commercial roles. 

In 2000, with a view to honing his commercial skills, he joined a start-up system integration company Sabio, which specialised in delivering turn-key complex contact centre's for FTSE 100 companies. Dominic joined to head up Business Development, helping the company grow revenues from £300,000 in the first year to £6,500,000 in 3 years. He then joined Excell Group as a Director and built a London arm for the company called Converged Solutions, growing turnover to £2.4 million in under 3 years.

Having successfully proved his ability to grow start up companies, Dominic founded Comtact in 2005 with the aim of making it a world class ICT solutions provider. The company has grown in size dramatically since then, achieving a compound growth rate of 654%, working with mid and large enterprise clients including RBS, Swiftcover and St Andrews Healthcare. 

The company continues to win many awards, on average 3 a year, including the Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100, Deloitte Fast 50 UK and 500 EMEA and National Business Awards.

In addition to this Dominic is very motivated to give something back and provides support to various charities including Fredericks Foundation, Start-up Britain and many others. He also works with schools, colleges and other learning institutes on providing inspiration for Britain's next generation of engineers and entrepreneurs.

Dominic's success in a highly competitive market place is largely due to his ability to develop talent, lead a team and his drive to deliver only the very highest level of customer experience. He understands that in a competitive business environment, a company that offers its customers an exceptional service and support can truly stand out from the competition.

Paul Barry-Walsh - Non-Executive Director

Paul Barry-Walsh left IBM in 1986, after nine years to form Safetynet, which became one of the UK's leading providers of Business Continuity Services. Paul went on to found Netstore in 1996.

In February 1999 he became CEO and majority shareholder after buying out his partner. During 2000, Safetynet was sold to Guardian IT for £170 million.

Netstore floated on the main market in 2000. Paul became Chief Executive of Netstore for 12 months in Sept 2001 and again for 9 months in 2006 whist remaining Chairman through out. Netstore was sold to 2E2 in October 2008. He sits on the Liverpool University Development Board and recently joined Beacon Board.

He founded The Fredericks Foundation in 2001 which has gone on to become a leading Micro Finance organisation in the UK, funding 2 disadvantaged individuals per week.  He is involved in a number of start ups including "Slivers of Time, Bluesource, and Purpose Software and Frank Investments . He brought the "Dans le Noir" dark concept restaurant to London in May 2008.

He was granted the Queens Award for Enterprise Promotion. He was also granted a Beacon award for creative giving in 2008. In March 2009 he was awarded the CNBC /FT European Philanthropist of the year. Finally Paul was fortunate enough to win the Entrepreneur Country inaugural Award for the Entrepreneur's Entrepreneur in 2011.

Simon Pettit - Senior VP Operations

Simon Pettit manages the support, provisioning and technical teams at and in addition, Simon's prolific background in recruitment has seen him make some key appointments and source some of the very best talent in the industry.

Previous to working at Comtact Simon joined Spring recruitment in 1985 and over the 13 years he worked there he built himself up to being Operations Director, responsible for 13 UK offices. He joined Hudson in 1998 to head up their IT recruitment division and set up their Corporate Accounts function and Volume Recruitment Division. Since then Simon has looked after the Corporate Accounts for some of the largest recruitment companies including Computer People where he looked after 135 staff and 6 offices in the UK and Ireland.

Simon is playing a key role in Comtact's continued growth by developing the existing infrastructure, systems, processes and IT. A big focus is on the continued support and development of how we work with our existing customer accounts through providing exceptional pre sales and after sales support.
